The Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Beheira announced the launch of the first national campaign for the year 2026 to vaccinate against lumpy skin disease in cows and sheep pox, starting today, Saturday, March 27, for a period of one month.

The campaign aims to vaccinate cows, sheep and goats in all centers and villages of the governorate, through specialized veterinary teams, to ensure that vaccination services reach all breeders, and to maintain the safety of livestock, which contributes to increasing animal production and supporting food security.
All necessary preparations have been made to make the campaign a success, by providing vaccines, equipping veterinary teams, and developing an integrated action plan to reach all communities, while intensifying awareness campaigns to urge breeders to cooperate with veterinary teams and vaccinate their livestock on the specified dates.
The Governor of Beheira appeals to all breeders and livestock owners to quickly respond and cooperate with the vaccination teams, in order to protect their animals from epidemic diseases and reduce economic losses, stressing that vaccination represents the first line of defense for protecting livestock.
