The defense of the TikToker, known as the agency’s moon, filed an appeal against her 6-month imprisonment sentence, a fine of 100,000 pounds, and a bail of 5,000 pounds, on charges of broadcasting indecent videos.
Tik Toker, “Agency Moon,” paid the bail amount estimated at 5,000 pounds to temporarily stop the prison sentence. Youm7 explains in the following points what Tik Toker, “Agency Moon,” is facing.
The Economic Court in Cairo had previously ruled that the TikToker, known as “Moon of the Agency,” be punished with 6 months’ imprisonment with labor, a bail of 5,000 pounds, a fine of 100,000 pounds, and the confiscation of a mobile phone, on charges of publishing video clips containing indecent language and scenes contrary to public taste, through its accounts on social networking sites.
Investigations confirmed that the accused used to appear in live broadcasts and controversial videos, in which she deliberately used obscene words and explicit suggestions, in order to attract interaction and increase the number of followers, which is considered a misuse of social media networks in violation of the law.
