Supporting the national economy
The organization of this forum comes within the framework of Aswan University’s keenness to strengthen its academic and societal role, and to support modern trends that link sports and tourism as two of the most important promising sectors in supporting the national economy, in addition to highlighting the unique natural components that Egypt in general, and Aswan Governorate in particular, possess.
Professor Dr. Loay Saad El-Din Nosrat confirmed that organizing this fifth international forum reflects Aswan University’s approach towards openness to modern development issues, pointing out that sports tourism represents one of the vital axes that contribute to achieving sustainable development and enhancing Aswan’s position on the global tourism map.
He added that the university seeks, through this event, to build effective partnerships with various institutions and exchange scientific and practical experiences, in a way that supports innovation in the fields of tourism and sports, and creates new opportunities for young people.
For his part, Dr. Adel Makki explained that the forum witnesses scientific sessions and specialized workshops that discuss the latest global trends in sports tourism, and its role in attracting investments and stimulating the tourism movement.
He pointed out that the College of Sports Sciences seeks to organize qualitative events that contribute to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the labor market, stressing that the forum represents an important opportunity to exchange experiences between researchers and specialists, and to come up with applicable practical recommendations.
The International Sports Tourism Forum is an important step towards maximizing the benefit of the natural and tourism potential that Egypt abounds, especially in light of the growing global interest in this type of tourism, which enhances the opportunities for economic development and keeps pace with the country’s vision towards a more sustainable future.
