Dr. Asaad Al-Sadiq, Director General of the General Department of Infection Control at the Public Authority for Health Care, and the team accompanying him conducted an inspection visit to the Fayrouz Medical Complex in the city of Tur Sinai, in the presence of the supervision team from the infection control and secondary and tertiary care departments in the branch.
The visit included visiting various sections of the complex to monitor the regularity of work progress, and to determine the extent of commitment to implementing infection control policies and procedures within the medical and therapeutic departments, ensuring the provision of a safe, healthy environment for patients and service providers.
During the tour, the sterilization and hygiene system was inspected, the mechanisms for safe handling of medical waste, and the readiness of the various departments was reviewed, in addition to monitoring the availability of preventive supplies and the extent of commitment to using them in accordance with the approved standards.
He listened to an explanation from those in charge of the work about the mechanisms for actually implementing infection control procedures, and a number of technical observations were made that would support the efficiency of performance and enhance the quality of health services provided within the complex.
The medical staff and members of the infection control, secondary and tertiary care departments also met at the branch to discuss work mechanisms, stress the importance of full compliance with infection control procedures, and apply approved standards within the work environment.
This visit comes within the framework of the General Authority for Health Care’s plan to periodically monitor the governorate’s facilities, and to ensure the application of the highest standards of quality and safety, which contributes to improving the level of health care provided to the people of South Sinai.
