The executive agencies carried out decisive campaigns to monitor and remove encroachments on agricultural lands in Al-Mahd, under strict instructions from Engineer Abdul Muttalib Amara, Governor LuxorBrigadier General Ahmed Al-Hawari, head of the Armant Center and City.
Eliminate agricultural encroachments in the bud
The campaigns, supervised by the center’s vice presidents, Hijazi al-Nahhas and Muhammad Ibrahim, resulted in the removal of two cases of encroachment. The first case included the removal of concrete columns for a ground floor on an area of 150 square meters in the village of Rayyaniya.
The second case was the backfilling of concrete foundations on land belonging to the Agrarian Reform in the village of Rizeigat, and the center’s presidency confirmed the continuation of field follow-up around the clock to decisively deal with any attempt at encroachment, and to refer violators to the competent legal authorities.
Developing roads and raising the efficiency of infrastructure
In terms of improving public services and facilities, the Armant Center witnessed extensive field movements to facilitate traffic movement. In the Armant Al-Hait area, the facade of a collapsing house that was obstructing traffic was removed, in preparation for the start of the work of installing interlock tiles to beautify the area.
These steps confirm the local authorities’ keenness on the safety of citizens and improving the civilized appearance of the city’s streets.
“A week for every village” initiative and raising occupancy
As part of the ongoing activities of the “A Week for Every Village” initiative, the local unit in Al Salam Village carried out paving and leveling works on the Hajer Abu Qali’i road, which effectively contributes to improving traffic flow.
In parallel, local authorities continued their intensive campaigns to lift occupancy in main squares, such as Al-Atiq and Al-Rahman Square, to ensure smooth movement and reduce traffic densities during peak times, while firmly enforcing the law on all violators without any leniency.
These intensive efforts in Armant, Luxor Governorate, reflect the true will to eliminate agricultural encroachments once and for all. By activating the “One Week for Every Village” initiative, work continues to remove violations and develop roads, to ensure the provision of the best services to citizens and the preservation of basic resources and the civilized appearance.
