An elderly woman named Hajja Neama, 70 years old, accused a mentally ill person of assaulting her while she was walking in the street in the village of Kafr Abu Al-Hassan, affiliated to the Quesna Center in Menoufia Governorate, near her place of residence.
She said the need blessingIn her narration, while she was purchasing some household supplies from the vicinity of her residence, she was surprised by the accused blocking her way during her return, as he grabbed the items from her before he beat her using a piece of rubber.
The victim added that the assault resulted in bruises in various areas of her body, in addition to a cut in the palm of her hand and the fingers of her left hand, confirming that she was subjected to a state of fear and panic as a result of the sudden assault.
She pointed out that the accused suffers from a mental illness, and has many previous incidents of assaulting passers-by on the street, calling on the concerned authorities to quickly intervene and place him in a specialized psychiatric hospital, in order to preserve the safety of citizens, while a report has been drawn up on the incident, and the necessary legal procedures are being completed regarding it.
