City Development Authority announced Sheikh Zayedcontinuing its decisive campaigns to address building violations, in implementation of the directives of Engineer Bassam Muhammad Fadl, head of the agency, on the necessity of dealing immediately and decisively with any violations and not allowing the imposition of a fait accompli, under the direct supervision of Engineer Ahmed Mekki, deputy head of the agency.
There will be no tolerance for building violations and ongoing campaigns, even during vacations
According to a statement issued by the agency today, an immediate removal of illegal construction works was carried out in the roof rooms in the Eighth District, immediately after they were monitored by the development and security departments of the agency. The violating works included the following sites during normal days and vacation times:
- Plot No. 80 – Neighborhood 2 – Eighth District
- Plot No. 23 – Eighth District Service Center
He said that the relevant committees took action immediately, and the complete removal was carried out immediately, while the tools and materials used in the violating construction, including wood and iron, were confiscated and deposited in the agency’s stores to prevent the violation from recurring.
He pointed out that immediate removal reports were issued, and all necessary legal measures were taken against the violators, while the Licensing Department was contacted to stop the reconciliation procedures, as it was proven that there were ongoing construction works in violation of the law.
Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadl confirmed that the Sheikh Zayed City Authority continues to implement intensive field campaigns and constantly monitor all violations, stressing that any attempt to build in violation will be dealt with immediately and with complete firmness, even during holidays and official vacations, through the security and development departments and those charged with follow-up.
He added that maintaining urban discipline and the city’s cultural appearance is the agency’s top priority, and that work teams continue their efforts around the clock to control violations and prevent any violations, within the framework of enforcing the law and restoring the distinctive cultural face of Sheikh Zayed City.
