Engineer Jumaa Abdel Hafeez, Director of the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Fayoum, confirmed that there is no truth to what was circulated on a number of social networking pages on Facebook regarding the presence of a shortage in the quantities of gas cylinders in the governorate, or a reduction in quantities in preparation for increasing the price of the cylinder to 300 pounds.

Gas cylinder price

Abdul added The Hafeez In a statement today, Saturday, the price of a stove cylinder remains the same: 235 pounds for the consumer in front of the house, 225 pounds in front of the warehouse for a small cylinder for home use, and the price of a large stove cylinder is 450 pounds from inside the warehouse and 470 pounds for delivery to the commercial store.

He added that there is no problem with the bulk gas reserves allocated to butane cylinders, within the filling factories, and there is no shortage in quantities, and that there is no need to worry or scramble to buy cylinders, pointing out that in the event of any complaint or shortage of butane gas cylinders in any region, one can contact the Supply Directorate or the Supply Administration to which the region belongs, and a cylinder truck will be directed to the area in question.

Fayoum Governorate calls on citizens to be accurate in the information that is published or circulated through social media, to prevent confusion or unjustified panic among citizens, while relying on obtaining information from its official sources only, knowing that deterrent legal measures will be taken against rumour-mongers who aim to create confusion, destabilize, and disturb public peace.
