Gharbia Governorate announced that a limited fire that broke out in the outdoor fire pit in front of an events hall on Army Street, near the Governor’s Rest House, was brought under control, without causing any losses or injuries.

The Gharbia Governorate explained in a statement that the Civil Protection Forces immediately moved to the site of the accident and were able to quickly control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring areas. The Ambulance Authority also confirmed that no injuries or human losses were recorded as a result of the fire.

Al-Gharbia Governorate indicated the readiness of all executive agencies and the speed of their response to deal with emergency situations, in order to ensure the safety of citizens and facilities.

Earlier, the Governor of Gharbia, accompanied by Major General Osama Nasr, Director of Security, moved to the site of the fire that broke out in the ground floor theater of Tanta Agricultural Secondary School in the city of Tanta, in order to follow up on the situation on the ground and check on the efforts to control and secure the site and take all necessary measures. This came in the presence of Nasser Hassan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Gharbia.

The Governor of Gharbia confirmed that the executive agencies moved immediately upon receiving the report at the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network today, where the maximum level of readiness was immediately raised in all concerned sectors, and the civil protection, ambulance, health, electricity and traffic forces were notified to move quickly to the location of the report, while taking the necessary precautionary measures, foremost of which is disconnecting the electrical power from the school and the surrounding area to ensure the safety of citizens and forces.
