During the meeting, the IT Vikings team reviewed the technical characteristics of the new application, which comes within the authority’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of the crisis management system and raise the efficiency of emergency response within city agencies.

The presentation included a comprehensive explanation of the mechanism for receiving digital reports and classifying them according to the degree of severity, and methods for managing the event through an interface based on geographic information systems (GIS), allowing accurate monitoring of the movement of dealing with the report from the moment it is registered until it is closed.

The presentation also discussed the feature of sharing GPS coordinates, which enables support agencies to share their locations and movements in real time, allowing for measuring the actual arrival time of the event and improving the speed of response.

The interface for support groups (Groups) dedicated to exchanging documents, photos, and conversations related to events, while recording them for documentation and archiving, was reviewed, in addition to the interface for time warnings that rely on color indicators that reflect the time periods for the stages of dealing with the event.

The system also included tools for preparing partial and comprehensive reports, whether for each event individually or at the level of daily and weekly reports for all regions, in addition to pre-prepared scenarios for each type of event, and the possibility of recording the actual scenario, the equipment and mechanisms involved, and the arrival time.

The application provides a special interface that allows senior leaders to follow events in real time in various cities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a video simulation of an actual event was shown, illustrating the process of field movement of support personnel, the speed of response, and the mechanisms for managing the event until its completion, within the framework of the Authority’s plan to develop its digital system and raise the efficiency of dealing with crises and disasters at the level of its various cities.

It is worth noting that the accountant Sameh Fahmy, general supervisor of the room, Dr. Amani Mamdouh, general coordinator of city agencies, and members of the main room for crises and disasters in the ministry participated in the meeting.
