Today, Saturday, youth centers and clubs in Qalyubia Governorate began implementing a package of measures to rationalize electricity consumption, in light of the directives of Dr. Gohar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Hossam Abdel Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia, and in implementation of the decisions of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly regarding rationalizing energy consumption in light of the current economic challenges.
In this context, Dr. Walid Al-Faramawy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Qalyubia, accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Momen, Undersecretary of the Directorate for Sports, and Alaa Al-Gazzar, Director of the Toukh Youth Administration, conducted a field tour to follow up on the implementation of the instructions on the ground. The tour included a number of youth centers affiliated with the Toukh Administration, including the Sinhra Youth Center and the Namul Youth Center, in order to ensure adherence to the closing times set at exactly nine o’clock in the evening.
Rationalizing lighting inside stadiums
During the tour, Al-Faramawy monitored the extent of the employees’ commitment to implementing the instructions, which included rationalizing lighting inside stadiums and facilities, not operating electrical appliances except when necessary, in addition to full adherence to the scheduled closing times, in order to achieve the state’s goals in reducing energy consumption.
The Undersecretary also stressed the importance of intensifying field follow-ups by directors of sub-departments, to ensure full compliance with all procedures, stressing that the current stage requires concerted efforts and full cooperation from all workers in the youth and sports sector.
He added that youth centers and clubs play an important role in supporting the state’s trends towards the optimal use of resources, noting that commitment to these decisions reflects the national awareness and responsibility of those in charge of these facilities.
Al-Faramawi indicated that the necessary measures will be taken regarding any violations that are monitored, while continuing to implement daily follow-up campaigns to ensure full discipline and achieve the target of energy consumption rationalization decisions.
