Al-Ahly tried repeatedly to score the equalizer, and it almost happened in the 13th minute after a wonderful powerful shot from outside the penalty area by Marwan Attia, but Ali Lotfy blocked it and brilliantly deflected it into a corner kick.
Al-Ahly players called for a penalty kick in the 30th minute after a ground pass from Youssef Belamri caused the ball to touch the hand of a Z player. But after returning to the video technology, the referee ordered the continuation of play with a corner kick for the Red Giants.

Al-Ahly continued its attempts to equalize, and as we entered the 65th minute, Imam Ashour fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, but Ali Lotfi continued his brilliance in the match and prevented the equalizer in a wonderful way.
In the 81st minute, Ali Lotfy made another wonderful save, this time after Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet’s wonderful header in the reverse corner, but Ali Lotfy blocked it with his fingertips, deflecting the ball into a corner kick.
Trezeguet again missed a new header in the 85th minute after a cross from Zizou, but Trezeguet’s header went past the post.
Al-Ahly finally scored the equalizer after many attempts, as in the 89th minute, from a cross ball from Ahmed Sayed Zizo, which was misjudged by the brilliant Ali Lotfi, ZD’s goalkeeper, and Trezeguet took advantage of it and put the ball into the net.
Mohamed Sharif missed Al-Ahly’s second fatal goal in the 90th + 8th minute after a wonderful save by Ali Lotfy, then in the 90th + 9th minute Trezeguet tried again with a header, but it hit the crossbar.
