Amr Moussa, former Secretary-General of the Arab League, said that the ongoing attack on Iran It cannot be considered just an Israeli adventure, indicating that it is a planned American strategic move in which the United States employed Israel as a regional partner, in a move aimed at reshaping the Middle East geopolitically, which may give Israel a leadership role in the region.

Amr Moussa: The Arab League meeting must discuss “to be or not to be”

Moussa explained, during a post on his page, that the birth of this new situation will not be easy, if it happens at all, given its connection to the interests of major international powers, including China, whose Belt and Road Initiative passes through the region, in addition to the influence and interests that Russia possesses in the Middle East, which may require understandings at the level of international powers regarding the arrangements for the next stage.

He pointed out that Iran does not appear ready to surrender as Donald Trump demanded, pointing out that the logic of the current conflict may push towards a scenario of “against me and my enemies,” which would place the region before a dangerous escalation scene that could have wide repercussions.

Moussa stressed the necessity of continuing the Arab position in support of the Gulf states in the face of Iranian attacks, stressing that the upcoming Arab League meeting must discuss developments from the perspective of “to be or not to be,” while preparing to deal with the repercussions of a phase that may witness widespread and extended regional instability.

He concluded by emphasizing that the issue of changing the Middle East and subjugating the Arab world represents a major topic at the current stage, which requires Arab preparedness and the presentation of an alternative proposal, warning that if this file is not at the forefront of the discussions of the upcoming meeting, it will have no real benefit in confronting this historical challenge.
