Conference on Investing Religious and Media Discourse to Promote Women’s Rights… Tomorrow
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the National Council for Women, and the Women’s Development Organization are organizing an international conference entitled: “Investing religious and media discourse and its impact on protecting and promoting women’s rights in the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,” on Sunday and Monday.
The conference witnesses the presence and participation of Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women, and high-level representatives from the 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in an international confirmation of the importance of women’s issues and their pivotal role in building societies.
The conference aims to shed light on the role of rational religious and media discourse in correcting misconceptions, promoting a culture of respect for women’s rights, and supporting their effective participation in various fields.
