The Cabinet Media Center announced that Petroleum sectorHe succeeded in adding new wells in the Mediterranean and Western Sahara regions, as part of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources aimed at increasing local production of natural gas.

The Center confirmed that this step contributed to raising production rates and supporting proven reserves, thus enhancing the state’s ability to reduce the gas import bill and supporting national energy security.
The statement indicated that these achievements come within the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to intensify drilling, exploration and field development activities, which contributes to enhancing the optimal exploitation of local resources and achieving self-sufficiency.
In a related context, during the past 24 hours, Damietta Port received 17 ships, while 17 ships left, and the total number of ships in the port reached 30 ships.
Among the ships received by Damietta Port was the liquefied gas tanker VIVIT AMERICAS LNG, which flies the flag of Malta and is 292 meters long and 46 meters wide. It is scheduled to unload a shipment amounting to about 64,577 tons of liquefied gas, after it was successfully installed next to the floating gasification unit ENERGOS WINTER to begin the process of transporting and unloading the shipment through the docks of the United Gas Derivatives Company (UGDC).
The export movement of general goods at Damietta Port amounted to about 35,135 tons, including: 20,861 tons of urea and 14,274 tons of miscellaneous goods.
The imported movement of general goods amounted to 41,525 tons, including: 5,527 tons of wheat, 1,980 tons of beech wood, 5,506 tons of scrap, 5,773 tons of iron, and 22,739 tons of corn.
