Muhammad Abu Ali, one of the sons, said The villageIn exclusive statements to Cairo 24: The transformer was completely burned, which led to the communications tower of one of the private mobile companies being out of service for long periods. He explained that they contacted specialized technicians, who confirmed that providing a new electricity transformer may take approximately a month.
Abu Ali added that those in charge of operating the tower tried to find a temporary solution, by operating it using a small electric generator during daylight hours only, but the service remains very weak due to the limited capacity of the generator, while the network is completely disconnected during the night hours due to the lack of an operating source.
He pointed out that this situation has caused great suffering to the people, as communications have become almost non-existent, especially in the evening, which disrupts the interests of citizens and affects their daily lives.
He explained that the village includes a number of workers in the field of exporting medicinal and aromatic plants, who rely mainly on communications to communicate with customers and complete deals, pointing out that the weak network led to financial losses and business disruption.
Secondary school students have also been directly affected, as they find it difficult to follow educational lessons online, especially with poor service during the day and interruptions at night, which puts them under great pressure as exams approach.
Residents confirmed that the network disruption also affected the conduct of electronic financial transactions, such as transfers and payments via phone, which led to the disruption of the interests of many, especially in light of the increasing reliance on digital services.
They indicated that they had submitted several complaints to the concerned authorities and telecommunications companies, demanding that a new power transformer be quickly provided and that the tower be restarted at full capacity, but the crisis is still ongoing.
The villagers called for immediate intervention to end the crisis, stressing that the continuation of the current situation exacerbates daily losses and threatens the sources of income of many families, in addition to its negative impact on the educational process and basic services.
