Announce National Council for Persons with DisabilitiesThe child, Ali Al-Sukkari, who played the character “Hamza” in the Color Blue series, was chosen as an ambassador to support children with autism spectrum disorder, within the framework of the role of the Community Council to promote the rights and integration of people with disabilities.

This choice came during the symposium organized by the Council to host the heroes and makers of the series, in the presence of the series’ heroes Jumana Murad, Ahmed Rizk, Rasha Mahdi, Yara Qasim, and Nour Mahmoud.

This comes in appreciation of the influential role played by the child Ali Al-Sukkari, who contributed to shedding light on autism issues in a realistic and humane way, thus enhancing opportunities for societal integration, confronting the phenomenon of bullying, and contributing to correcting society’s mental image of people with autism, especially in educational environments and among school students.

For her part, Dr. Iman Karim, General Supervisor of the Council, said that empowering people with autism spectrum disorder requires the concerted efforts of all, most importantly the soft powers represented in drama, which have a great ability to shape societal awareness. The Council believes that providing positive and realistic role models for people with disabilities in drama directly contributes to enhancing societal acceptance and creating a more supportive and inclusive environment.

She added that choosing a children’s ambassador reflects the Council’s orientation towards empowering them and giving them a space for expression and influence, so that they can be an active part in spreading awareness messages, defending their rights, and contributing to building an inclusive society that does not exclude anyone.

The Council affirmed its continued support for awareness-raising initiatives and cooperation with drama makers, to enhance the image of people with disabilities, highlight their true abilities and potential, and work to correct the stereotypical image of any disability or its causes.
