The Ministry of Interior reveals the truth about a person’s claim that police officers assaulted and threatened him in Giza
For its part, the Ministry of Interior issued a statement regarding the incident, clarifying that upon examination, what was circulated in this regard was found to be incorrect, as on April 1, when the person responsible for the publication was unemployed and residing in the Al-Saff Police Station Department in Giza, in one of the cafes in the Al-Saff Police Station Department, a security force arrested a person – wanted for execution in two judicial rulings – and a member of the force inquired about his personal identification card to inquire about him, and after verifying his identity, he was dismissed without any violations occurring.
Upon summoning the person responsible for the publication, he acknowledged his false claim and published the aforementioned video clip to increase the number of views on his page on social networking sites, and deleted it at a later time, for fear of being subjected to legal accountability, and legal measures were taken.
