Captain Khaled Fathi, President of the Handball Federation, confirmed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Sports, for his continuous and unlimited support for the handball system, which is real support that was not just words, but was translated into successive achievements and successes that placed Egyptian handball in its rightful place on the global sports map.

Khaled Fathi’s statements

This came during the minister’s visit to the handball team to motivate him, as Khaled Fathi said in official statements: What handball is achieving today is the result of a clear vision and the state’s belief in the importance of investing in the national teams, and this is what we always feel from the minister who spares no effort in providing all means of support to the federation and the national teams, believing in their ability to raise Egypt’s name high in all forums.

Khaled Fathi added: I would like to send a message of pride and motivation to the players of the first Egyptian handball team and the technical staff, as you are entering an important and difficult stage in defending the African Cup of Nations title after winning it in 3 consecutive editions, which is a historical achievement that places a great responsibility on your shoulders.

The head of the Hand Federation added: The upcoming African Championship in Rwanda will not be easy at all, as all teams are seeking to stop Egypt’s dominance and regain the title, but we trust in your determination, experience, and fighting spirit, and in your ability to deal with pressures and challenges, as we have always become accustomed to from you.

Khaled Fathi concluded his statements by saying: You are the champions of the continent and the title holders, and you know very well that the summit is maintained only by the adults, and we are confident that you will fight for the name of Egypt, and will give everything you have to make the Egyptian fans happy, and continue to write a new history for Egyptian handball.
