Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, directed to raise levels of preparedness on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, convene the central operations and crisis management room in the ministry, and link it around the clock to the operating rooms in the governorates. It also regularly directed periodic reports to support the speed of response and take the necessary measures, emphasize raising the readiness of relief equipment in sub- and strategic warehouses, and enhance coordination with executive agencies in the governorates, in order to efficiently deal with any repercussions or emergency events during the Eid period, as well as everything related to intensifying the follow-up work of social care institutions such as orphanages and elderly homes to ensure the provision of the necessary care during the Eid.
The Minister of Social Solidarity indicated that the Ministry carries out relief interventions through relief centers spread across the directorates in various governorates, as well as Egyptian Red Crescent teams spread across the republic.
Maya Morsi also directed the rapid intervention team to raise the level of preparedness in the context of welcoming Eid al-Fitr, noting that the rapid intervention teams were supported with 27 units equipped with modern wireless means of communication, which contributes to the rapid access to cases and immediate dealing with them. The Minister of Solidarity directed the Egyptian Red Crescent to raise the state of preparedness to the maximum level at the level of the governorates of the Republic through the Crisis and Disaster Management Operations Room at the General Center of the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The Egyptian Red Crescent deployed emergency response teams in all governorates in major mosques and Eid al-Fitr prayer areas, as well as public parks and gardens.
