Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, approved the detailed plans for the city of “Ras El-Bar” in the Damietta Governorate, the city of “Paris” in the New Valley Governorate, the detailed plan for the “Al-Haram” neighborhood in the Giza Governorate, and a number of “3” villages in the Minya Governorate, in preparation for their approval by the Council of Ministers and work on them through the governorates.

This came in a report that the Minister of Local Development and Environment received from Dr. Saeed Helmy Abdel Khaleq, Head of the Strategic Management and Local Development Sector, about the detailed plans prepared for cities and villages in the governorates during the month of March 2026, which is being implemented through the joint cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Local Development and Environment and the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, in implementation of the state’s vision towards sustainable urban planning that achieves quality of life for citizens.

Dr. Manal Awad pointed to the interest that the Egyptian state attaches to organizing construction work, controlling urban growth, and eliminating slums in the various governorates of the Republic.

The Minister of Local Development and Environment stressed that preparing and approving detailed plans represents an important step to organize construction and ensure optimal use of land in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
