Dr. Mahmoud Esmat Wazir confirmed electricity And renewable energy, that workers in the electricity and renewable energy sector are one of the most important pillars of the development and modernization plan, supporting and strengthening the national electricity grid, and advancing the sector, and that their role is important and vital.

Ismat: Electrical workers are able to provide electrical supply

The Minister pointed to the ability of workers to secure electrical power for all uses, praising the workers’ awareness of the importance of their role within the framework of the state’s plan for sustainable development, as well as working in a team spirit and understanding the reality of current regional challenges as a basis for achieving the goals of the current work plan, explaining the state’s support and interest in human capital and providing all means to invest it and maximize its returns. This came during the participation of workers in electricity production, transmission and distribution companies, in the group breakfast organized by the General Union of Utility Workers, at the Electricity Club in Cairo, in the presence of Engineer Gaber Desouki, president of the company. Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, engineer Mona Rizk, head of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, and heads of electricity production and distribution companies nationwide.

During his speech, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat expressed his happiness with the employees’ participation in their annual breakfast, praising the high spirit and depth of understanding and awareness in light of the exceptional circumstances that the region is going through, calling for more efforts to be made to ensure the security of the electrical system, the continuity and stability of the supply, to raise the level of services provided, and to adhere to standards of quality and efficiency in operation.

During his dialogue with the workers, he directed the necessity of field presence for all leadership levels and commitment to the current operating pattern to reduce the use of fuel, rely on renewable energies, and follow up on the implementation of maintenance within the framework of expanding the use of equivalent fuel. Dr. Esmat conducted an open dialogue with the workers about the overall events in the region, and handed over a number of certificates of honor to distinguished workers at the level of the electricity sector.

After breakfast, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat opened the Ramadan football tournament among workers in the sector, which was held at the Kahraba Club stadiums in Cairo, noting that the Ramadan tournament represented a successful model of positive interaction between employees of various companies in a competitive sports framework. The Kahraba Club’s weightlifting team, under 17 years old and under 15 years old, honored the girls and boys who won first place nationwide in competitions that included 42 teams.
