Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Badawi, Chairman, issued a statement Wafd PartyA decision was issued to assign Representative Mohamed Abdel-Aleem Dawoud, in his capacity as head of the party’s parliamentary body in the House of Representatives, to represent the body in the consultative meeting called by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, which was devoted to discussing developments in the situation that the country is going through in light of the state of war that the region is witnessing.
Demands for formulating a coherent national vision that balances the necessities of national security and the requirements of internal stability
The decision issued by the head of the delegation, after reviewing the party’s bylaws, added that at this delicate moment in the history of the region, and in light of the dangerous escalation in the pace of conflicts and the increasing threats to regional security and stability, and the direct repercussions this imposes on Egyptian national security, and invoking the historical responsibility of the Wafd Party, which elevates the interest of the nation above all interests, and in the belief that Egypt was and will remain the country that preserves the balance of the region and preserves its stability.
The second article of the decision stipulated that this participation comes within the framework of national alignment and standing together behind the Egyptian state in facing challenges and supporting everything that would protect national security and preserve the capabilities of the nation.
Article Three of the decision stated that effective participation in formulating a coherent national vision
A balance between the necessities of national security and the requirements of internal stability.
Article 4 of the mandate stressed confronting any attempts to destabilize or exploit the regional situation to put pressure on the Egyptian state.
Article Five referred to the presentation of the delegation’s visions that contribute to strengthening the state’s ability to confront the political, economic and social repercussions of the current stage.
The sixth and final article stipulates that this decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance and shall cancel all decisions that contradict this.
