The head of the authority stressed in a statement the need for the association to communicate immediately with the families of the deceased and the injured, and to work to expedite the disbursement of the prescribed compensation, which amounts to 100 thousand pounds for each death, while the value of the injury compensation is determined according to the percentage of disability approved by the medical commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Unified Insurance Law No. (155) of 2024, and within the limits of the prescribed insurance coverage, immediately after receiving and completing the accident documents, with the speedy completion of the settlement of compensation for those entitled to it. Dr. Azzam also offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims in this painful accident, asking God Almighty to cover them with His vast mercy, and to inspire their families with patience and solace, with sincere wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured and their safe return to their families.
In a quick response to the directives of the Chairman of the Authority, the Executive Director of the Egyptian Society for Compulsory Vehicle Insurance confirmed that representatives of the Society will communicate with the families of the victims, to complete the required documents in preparation for the start of disbursing compensation as soon as possible.
