Major General Hani Rashad Ali, Governor of Suez, directed the executive leadership to raise the level of readiness in all vital facilities, especially electricity, public services, parks, the Corniche, and the walkway, with an emphasis on continuing work morning and evening, to complete preparations for the celebrations of the Coptic brothers and Sham El-Nessim at the level of all neighborhoods.
As part of the field follow-up, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Mohamed Allam, accompanied by the heads of the neighborhoods, conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the final preparations in the areas surrounding a number of churches, including the Church of St. Anthony and the Church of the Good Shepherd in the Suez District, the Church of Saint George in the Faisal Neighborhood, and the Church of Saint George in the village of Geneva in the Al-Janain neighborhood, to determine the extent of their readiness to receive citizens during the celebrations.
During the tour, the Deputy Governor stressed increasing the efficiency of public lighting, intensifying cleaning work and removing waste in the surrounding areas and entrances to churches, in addition to beautifying gardens, green spaces and public parks, with full coordination with the Traffic Department to facilitate traffic movement.
Emphasis was also placed on coordination with the Health Care Authority and the Health Directorate to raise the degree of readiness in hospitals and medical centers, and to follow up on the readiness of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority branch in Suez.
He stressed the need for continuous follow-up around the clock in all vital facilities, in implementation of the directives of the Governor of Suez, to ensure the provision of the best level of services to citizens during the holiday period.
During the tour, the Deputy Governor was accompanied by Major General Arif Al-Barkawi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate, Brigadier General Ahmed Alaa, Head of the Suez District, Muhammad Abdullah, Head of the Al-Janain District, and Engineer Jihad Ahmed, Head of the Faisal District, along with work teams from vital facilities and neighborhood officials.
