Engineer Ibrahim Mekki, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, followed up on efforts to sweep and drain rainwater in all centers and cities of the governorate, by following up on rain filters and removing water on a regular basis using rapid intervention equipment and vehicles.
These efforts are part of the governorate’s plan to confront the effects of the unstable weather wave and ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of citizens.
The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh stressed the importance of periodically reviewing rain filters in all centers and cities to speed up water drainage and prevent its accumulation in the main streets and squares, in addition to maintaining the level of cleanliness, checking electrical insulators, and reviewing public lighting lamps periodically to ensure the safety of citizens at all times.

Engineer Ibrahim Makki stressed the need for continuous cooperation between the heads of local units, drinking water and sanitation companies, and the Cleaning and Beauty Agency, and continuous coordination with the main operations room at the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network, to follow up on reports and intervene quickly when needed, and to deal immediately with any emergency.

These intensive campaigns come within the framework of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate’s efforts to maintain the flow of traffic and protect citizens from any potential damage resulting from the accumulation of rainwater, while raising the maximum level of preparedness of all executive and service agencies in various cities and centers.
