Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, inspected the Awsti Al-Badrashin transformer station project, voltage 220/66 kV, with a capacity of 125 Megavolt Ampere, as part of following up on the national projects being implemented in conjunction with the governorate’s celebrations of its National Day.

The governor explained that the project aims to provide an alternative supply source for the 66 kV circuits of the Badrashin and Hawamdiya stations (11/66 kV), in a way that enhances the stability of the electrical network and raises its efficiency, noting that the station was implemented through the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company with self-efforts and the hands of the company’s employees in a record period of time amounting to 40 days.
Al-Ansari stressed that the project comes within the state’s plan to support and develop the electricity sector and improve the efficiency of networks, which contributes to meeting citizens’ needs for electrical energy and ensuring the stability of power in the city of Badrashin and the surrounding areas.
During his tour, the governor was accompanied by Ibrahim Al-Shehabi and Hind Abdel Halim, the deputy governors, Mohamed Nour, General Secretary, Mohamed Marei, Assistant General Secretary, Wael Shaaban, Head of the Central Administration for Governor’s Office Affairs, and Zeinhom Idris, Head of Badrashin Center and City, along with Essam Hilal Afifi and Nader Al-Khabiri, members of the House of Representatives and Senate, and Engineer Ahmed Hagras, Director of Information Systems at the South Cairo Electricity Company.
