Major General Abdullah Abdel Aziz, Governor of Beni Suef, directed to raise the level of preparedness to the maximum level in all centers and cities of the governorate, and to take a package of precautionary measures to confront the potential repercussions of unstable weather conditions, in light of the Meteorological Authority’s warnings of expected fluctuations during the coming hours.
The governor stressed the importance of real-time follow-up of any developments through the main operations room at the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network in the governorate’s general office, while activating full connectivity with the sub-operations rooms in the centers and directorates, to ensure a rapid and immediate response to any reports or emergencies and limit the effects of bad weather.
The Governor assigned Bilal Habash, the Deputy Governor, to follow up on the implementation of previously approved procedures in accordance with the procedural guide for confronting crises and emergencies, and to ensure the readiness of all sectors to deal with any potential repercussions.
Governor Kamel Ghattas also directed the Secretary-General to monitor the performance of the heads of local units on an ongoing basis, and to ensure the readiness of equipment and work teams and their deployment, especially in areas where rainwater catches, and to submit periodic reports throughout the day.
The governor stressed the need for full coordination between the executive agencies and concerned authorities to review the efficiency of sewage networks and flood drains, and to send water sweeping vehicles and the necessary equipment to vital areas, in addition to intensifying awareness of citizens about the need to be careful during the period of weather fluctuations in order to preserve their safety and their property.
