Media description Ahmed Hossam Mido, Zamalek Club said that it is currently going through an “unprecedented tragedy,” stressing the importance of the next general assembly, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow, considering that the members’ meeting will be a turning point in the club’s history.
Mido: The General Assembly is a milestone for Zamalek…and we must adhere to the land of October
Mido added in television statements that Zamalek is administratively affiliated with the state, but the General Assembly is the body that actually owns the club, which makes the role of the members at this stage very sensitive.
He hoped that the General Assembly would turn into a “demonstration of love,” reflecting the members and fans of the club standing behind him, and sending a strong message that “Zamalek Club is not small.”
In the same context, Mido warned of the danger of neglecting the Zamalek Club’s land in October City, noting that the Housing Minister’s recent statements carry a hint of the danger of losing this historic right for the club.
The journalist stressed that boycotting any proposal to obtain an alternative plot is an urgent necessity, stressing that the land represents a great value that cannot be neglected in any way.
Mido stressed that withdrawing the Zamalek club’s land in October is unacceptable to any Zamalek club, calling on the administration and the fans to stand together to preserve the club’s rights and principles, stressing that preserving the land represents part of preserving Zamalek’s history and its gains.
Thus, the General Assembly meeting comes as a decisive opportunity for members to confirm their support for the club, and to send a clear message about everyone’s adherence to the position of Zamalek, not only at the administrative level, but also with regard to its rights and historical properties.
