The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, headed by Engineer Hani Abu Rida, congratulated Samson Adamu on the occasion of the issuance of the decision to appoint him as Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Board of Directors, with the participation of the Secretary-General and all employees of the Federation, expressed their sincere wishes to Adamu for success in the duties of his new position, stressing their confidence in his ability to provide a real addition that pushes the development of African football forward, given his long experience in continental work.
In the context of congratulations, the Egyptian Federation affirmed its full aspiration to cooperate with the new General Secretariat of the African Union, in a way that serves the interests of both Egyptian and African football, and contributes to strengthening the status of the African continent on the global football map.
In another context, South African Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), officially announced the return of the African Football League Championship again, confirming that the anticipated edition will start at the end of this year.
The return of the African League
The President of the Confederation of African Football explained, in a press conference held this afternoon in Cairo, that CAF is currently studying several commercial offers, stressing that the Confederation is looking for decent sponsorship offers that reflect the high marketing value of the tournament and ensure its financial sustainability.
The President of the Confederation of African Football answered the question: Does Morocco have any advantage over the Confederation of African Football? He replied, saying: I deal with everyone equally, like the ends of a comb… and I implement decisions in word and deed and under any circumstances, and no football federation is privileged at the expense of another, regardless of the name of the country.
