She announced Ministry of Endowments The opening of 17 mosques today, Friday, April 17, 2026, where two new mosques were established and built, 10 mosques were replaced and renovated, and 5 mosques were maintained and developed.

The Ministry announced that the total number of mosques opened since the first of July 2025 until now has reached 994 mosques, including 772 mosques between new construction, replacement and renovation, and 222 mosques for maintenance and development.

The Ministry confirmed that the total number of mosques that have been replaced, renovated, maintained and furnished since July 2014 amounted to 14,483 mosques, at a total cost estimated at approximately 27 billion and 208 million pounds.

The list of mosques scheduled to be opened varied geographically, as follows:

In Sharkia Governorate: Al-Nour Mosque was replaced and renovated in the village of 15 Bahr Al-Baqar – Al-Husseiniyah Center. And Khalil Al-Shabrawi Mosque in Shinbara Village – Abu Hammad Center.

In Minya Governorate: Sheikh Mansour Mosque in Tinda village – Mallawi Center was replaced and renovated. And Nour Al-Islam Mosque in Ezbet Shubra Al-Yemen in the village of Bani Khiar – Abu Qurqas Center.

In Beheira Governorate: Al-Nour Mosque in Ezbet Al-Assal – Housh Issa Center was replaced and renovated.

In Qena Governorate: The Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque was replaced and renovated in the village of Al-Samta Qebli – Dishna Center.

The Al-Taqwa Mosque in the village of Al-Sheikhiya – center only, and the Sheikh Abdul Rashid Mosque in the Buqaili Sahel area in the village of Al-Sharqi in Bahjoura – Nag Hammadi Center were maintained and developed. The Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Nag Hilali in the village of Al-Dahsa – Farshout center, and the Sheikh Ahmed Abu Zeid Mosque in the village of Al-Gharbi in Bahjoura – Nag Hammadi center.

In Fayoum Governorate: Al-Ansar Mosque in Al-Zaafaran Village – Itsa Center was replaced and renovated.

Abu Zarqa Mosque was established and built in Al-Safraya village – Abshway Center.

In Aswan Governorate: The Quba Mosque was established and built in the Third District, adjacent to 3 – New Aswan City.

In Ismailia Governorate: Al-Rahman Mosque was replaced and renovated in the Al-Qaraqra area in Sarabium village – the center and city of Fayed.

In Qalyubia Governorate: The Bahri Mosque in the village of Kafr Farsis – Banha Center was replaced and renovated. And the Eastern Mosque in the village of Sindouh – Al-Khanka Center.

In Sohag Governorate: The Al Abdullah Mosque in Damno Village – Sohag Center was maintained and developed.
