The Damanhour Criminal Court of Appeals of the Third Circuit, sitting in the Itay El-Baroud Court of First Instance on Thursday, ruled to uphold the death penalty by hanging for the accused, Walid M.M.H., 29 years old, unemployed, resident of the village of Shabraris in the Shubrakhit district, for kidnapping a child and violating her body on agricultural land.

The death sentence was upheld against the accused of kidnapping and indecently assaulting a young girl on agricultural land in Al-Buhaira

The court, headed by Counselor Ashraf Abdel Hafeez Ayyad, President of the Court, and with the membership of Counselors Fakhr El-Din Abdel Tawab Al-Darjali, Nihad Mahmoud Abu Al-Nasr, and Ahmed Kazem Salam, and in the presence of the representative of the Public Prosecution, Mohamed Hamed Abdel Salam, and the secretariat of Mahmoud Bilal, decided in its last session, dated December 23, 2025, to refer the case papers to the Mufti of the Republic to obtain a legal opinion on his execution.

The events of the case go back to last April 11, when the accused of defrauding the victim kidnapped the child Aisha A.M.S., 6 years old, by luring her to a remote land devoid of passers-by, taking advantage of her youth and age. This crime was coupled with another crime, which was indecent assault on the victim without her consent and against her will, and endangering her life by taking advantage of her youth and sexually assaulting her.
