The Referees Committee held its technical meeting to analyze some of the arbitration cases witnessed in the recent matches in the Premier League for the current season 2025-26.

Cairo 24 learned that the meeting did not witness a review of any arbitration cases from the match between Zamalek and Enppi in the closing round of the first stage of the league championship, but during the meeting, Colombian Oscar Ruiz, head of the referees’ committee, praised the performance of arena referee Tariq Magdy in the match between Zamalek and Enppi.
The Chairman of the Referees Committee confirmed that the match between Zamalek and Enppi witnessed some difficult refereeing games, but referee Tarek Magdy succeeded in making sound decisions in those games by relying on himself without the need to return to VAR video technology.
Oscar Ruiz pointed out that referee Tariq Magdy is considered the best among the referees in terms of performance during the recent period.
