Helwan University is preparing to host the activities of the fifth forum of the Union of Presidents of Russian and Arab Universities, which is held under the title: “Bridges of Knowledge Civilizations: Education, Innovation, and a Sustainable Future.”
The activities of the Fifth Forum of the Union of Russian and Arab University Rectors will be launched at Helwan University tomorrow
The conference will be held in cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Association of Arab Universities, the Union of Russian Universities, and Helwan University, which is hosting the forum’s activities over the course of two days, December 7-8, 2025, at the Arts and Culture Complex.
The forum’s activities will begin with a celebration of the medical complex project, followed by the opening session, which begins with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt and then the anthem of the Russian Federation, followed by speeches by Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education – Russia, as well as Georgy Y. Borisenko, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Professor Dr. F. A. Sadovnici, President of Lomonosov Moscow State University – Russia, Professor Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, and His Excellency Professor Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, followed by a musical performance, then the discussion sessions begin.
The first discussion session is entitled: “Beyond Borders: The Future of Arab-Russian Cooperation in Aviation and Space Sciences,” and includes discussing the establishment of the Arab-Russian Universities Union for the space observatory to explore exoplanets and search for signs of life in the universe.
The second discussion session is titled: “Artificial Intelligence for the Service of Humanity: Shaping the Future of Education and Society,” and includes topics: integrating artificial intelligence into higher education curricula and university administration, ethical artificial intelligence and responsible innovation, and the role of universities in building comprehensive digital societies.
In the third discussion session, which will be titled: “Artificial Intelligence Diplomacy: Building Bridges through Innovation between Russia and the Arab World,” main topics will be discussed, including: artificial intelligence as a tool for international cooperation and soft power, building joint research and innovation systems in artificial intelligence, and education and capacity building to keep pace with the era of artificial intelligence.
