The Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the State of Kuwait announced today, Saturday, that it will be limited to performing the evening prayer and canceling the Tarawih prayer in all mosques in the State of Kuwait, until further notice.

The Ministry explained that the decision comes in light of the developments taking place in the region, and out of concern for the safety of worshipers and workers in mosques, stressing the follow-up of developments and coordination with the competent authorities to take the necessary measures.

Minor injuries occurred to a number of workers

In a related context, the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the State of Kuwait announced, through official spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi, that a drone targeted Kuwait International Airport, resulting in minor injuries to a number of workers, in addition to limited material damage to the passenger terminal (T1).

The spokesman explained that the competent authorities immediately began implementing the approved emergency procedures, where the accident was dealt with and the site was secured, and evaluation and treatment work is currently continuing and rearranging operational operations in accordance with the highest safety standards.
