The local unit of the center and city of Naga Hammadi in Qena Governorate issued an urgent warning to citizens and owners of shops and establishments, of the need to immediately adhere to measures to rationalize electricity consumption, in implementation of the state’s directives to preserve resources and ensure the continuity of services without interruption.
Warnings regarding electricity consumption
The local unit confirmed, in a statement, that any negligence in implementing rationalization measures is a clear violation that requires legal accountability, stressing the start of taking decisive measures against those who do not comply.
The rationalization instructions included the following:
Immediately extinguishing unnecessary lighting in side streets and squares.
Stop flashing advertisements during late night hours.
Commitment to rationalizing lighting inside shops and establishments and preventing excessive use.
Turn off all unused electrical appliances and lighting inside homes and establishments.
Commitment to the specified dates for turning off advertisements.
Full cooperation with executive authorities during the implementation of rationalization decisions.
The local unit stressed that it will not be lax in enforcing the law, stressing that the necessary measures will be taken against violators, in order to preserve the public interest.
