The Ministry of Solidarity, in coordination with New Valley University, paid tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic year for 813 male and female students from groups eligible for support, with a total amount of 672,042 pounds, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Aziz Tantawi, President of New Valley University, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Al-Aqabi, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Strategic Communication and Media, and Scientific Supervisor of the Social Solidarity Units Project in Universities. An accurate and comprehensive inventory of eligible cases
The Solidarity Unit at New Valley University said in a statement that this decision comes in light of the Ministry’s keenness to reduce the economic burdens on students and their families, especially those from the Solidarity and Dignity Program and distressed cases, in a way that contributes to achieving the principle of equal opportunities and promoting social justice within the university community.
She pointed out that the payment process was implemented after conducting an accurate and comprehensive inventory of eligible cases, in coordination between the university’s Social Solidarity Unit and the concerned authorities, to ensure that support is directed to those who deserve it efficiently and transparently, within the framework of an integrated social protection system.
The Ministry of Social Solidarity confirms its continued support of Egyptian university students through the Social Solidarity Units, which represent one of the effective executive arms in providing care and protection services, in addition to contributing to building the capabilities of young people and empowering them scientifically and economically in line with the state’s vision for achieving sustainable development.
