A state of sadness and shock gripped the people of the village of Al-Masalaha, east of the Nile, in the city of Naga Hammadi, Qena Governorate, following the death of Sheikh Hamed Ahmed Hamed while he was in the mosque to perform the blessed Eid Al-Fitr prayer.

The deceased died during the Eid prayers, in a touching scene that left a deep impact on the souls of the worshipers and the people of the village, who were overwhelmed by feelings of sadness over the loss of one of the most prominent mosque pioneers in the region.

A number of families confirmed that the deceased was one of those who regularly performed prayers in the mosque, and was always keen to be in the first rows, pointing out his good conduct and good morals among everyone.

A state of sadness prevailed among the villagers, who mourned the deceased with moving words, praying to God to cover him with His vast mercy and to inspire his family and relatives patience and solace.
