The campaigns included visits to municipal bakeries, commercial and catering activities, butane warehouses, gas stations and wholesale branches, to ensure compliance with the decisions and regulating laws, and to follow up on the disbursement of the additional grant to citizens without any obstacles.

Food campaigns in Shubra El Kheima

The campaigns were carried out in the West Shubra El-Kheima neighborhood, Kafr Shukr, Toukh, Banha, the East Shubra El-Kheima neighborhood, Qalyoub, and Shibin El-Qanater, and resulted in issuing a number of food ration violations.
In the municipal bakery sector, 102 catering violations were issued, ranging from the production of underweight bread, the production of bread that does not conform to legal specifications, the absence of a working menu, the lack of clean kneading tools, closing during official working hours without prior permission, the absence of a record of visits by inspectors, the failure to give exchange vouchers to citizens, and the absence of a usable scale.
Within the scope of the catering exchanges and “My Association” outlets, 16 violation reports were issued due to closure during official working hours without prior permission, the absence of a price list or a cash machine, in addition to the absence of a record of visits by inspectors.
Campaigns in various commercial activities and butane warehouses also resulted in the issuance of 4 misdemeanor reports for not announcing prices.

The Directorate’s Supply Control Department also visited the New Testament Mill in the Mit Halfa district, where an inventory and measurement of the weight of flour bags was conducted to ensure their compliance with the legal weights, and the disbursement of flour to bakery owners and contractors was followed up, in addition to preparing a technical report for the mill to avoid some observations that might affect the quality of the flour produced.
Dr. Tamer Salah Mukhtar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qalyubia, confirmed that the monitoring campaigns continue daily, morning and evening, to control markets, deter violators, and ensure that support reaches those who deserve it without exploitation or obstacles.
