Hani Antar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Menoufia Governorate, announced the postponement of assessment exams for primary school students, if they are unable to attend schools today due to bad weather conditions and rainfall.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry explained, in statements to “Cairo 24”, that the decision is limited to primary school students only, noting that the directors of educational departments have been notified of all the details, in the context of ensuring the safety of students, especially in villages and areas that may be more affected by the repercussions of unstable weather.

He stressed that the matter is up to the discretion of parents, as they can allow their children to go to school and take assessments on time today, or postpone them until tomorrow if there is difficulty in transportation or fear of the effects of rain on the safety of students.

This decision comes after a state of instability in the weather conditions that Menoufia Governorate witnessed during the past hours, as several areas were exposed to rain of varying intensity, which led to difficulty of movement on some roads, especially in rural areas.

The Directorate of Education in Menoufia is keen to take measures to ensure the safety of students and workers in the educational system, taking into account not to disrupt the course of the educational process, by providing flexible alternatives that ensure the continuation of assessments without exposing students to any potential risks.
