During the past 24 hours, Port Said Governorate witnessed important events, as Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Port Said, intensified his field tours to follow up on development projects and raise efficiency, in addition to the continuation of oversight and service campaigns in various sectors, which reflects a state of continuous executive activity on the ground.

The governor inspected the progress of work in raising the efficiency of Al-Maamoura chalets in the Al-Sharq district, and directed the rapid removal of spray accumulations and their transfer to the designated places. He also followed up on the project to establish 22 investment towers in the Al-Manakh district, with a total of 1,200 residential units, stressing adherence to timetables and quality standards, in parallel with following up on the development of the Omar bin Abdul Aziz area in the Al-Zuhur district, which includes 40 residential buildings, where he directed the intensification of work and completion of it as quickly as possible, and responded to citizens’ requests to deliver Natural gas for 18 buildings.
In a humanitarian gesture, the governor honored exemplary mothers at the governorate level, stressing that the Egyptian mother represents a symbol of giving and a maker of generations. He also discussed during an expanded meeting with the President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology ways of joint cooperation, including preparing a cooperation protocol and benefiting from scientific expertise in supporting development projects and enhancing the visual identity of Port Said.
In the public health file, the governor followed up on the work of vaccinating dogs against rabies, and directed the intensification of campaigns to collect stray dogs and transport them to the shelter, while providing full veterinary and nutritional care, in order to achieve a balance between the safety of citizens and humane treatment of animals.
At the service directorate level, the Supply Directorate carried out control campaigns that resulted in the seizure of 120 kilograms of meat of unknown origin in the Arab neighborhood, while the Health Care Authority conducted surprise tours of medical facilities, in conjunction with intensive movements by the Agriculture, Education and Labor Directorates to spread awareness of energy conservation and law enforcement, in addition to youth and sports activities for orphaned children, and religious activities in the governorate’s mosques.
Field efforts also continued in the neighborhoods, including maintaining and raising the efficiency of public lighting, removing occupancy, and intensifying cleaning and disinfection work, in addition to campaigns to collect state dues, which contributes to improving the level of services and general discipline in the streets.
