I witnessed Port Said GovernorateOn the first day of Eid al-Fitr, a series of activities and field visits were conducted by Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Port Said, as part of his keenness to share the joy of Eid with citizens and various segments of society, and to emphasize the support of state agencies for manifestations of stability and social solidarity.

And he started Governor On his day, he performed the blessed Eid al-Fitr prayer in the Al-Abbasi Mosque in the Al-Arab neighborhood, in the presence of a crowd of people from the governorate who had come from the early hours in an atmosphere full of joy and spirituality. He performed the prayer in the presence of a number of security, executive and popular leaders, including Major General Mohamed Al-Gamsi, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Port Said Security, Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

After performing the prayer, the governor was keen to exchange congratulations with the citizens, expressing his sincere wishes that God would return this occasion to Egypt with more goodness, prosperity and blessings, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability in the nation.

The Governor of Port Said confirmed that the executive bodies in the governorate had raised the maximum level of readiness to receive Eid al-Fitr, as cleaning work had been intensified and the efficiency of streets and squares had been increased, in addition to preparing gardens, parks and beaches to receive citizens. The level of readiness had also been raised in hospitals and health units, and the supply and control campaigns had been intensified to control the markets and ensure the quality of goods, in order to achieve a safe and appropriate atmosphere for the celebration.

The governor then went to the Port Said Security Forces House to congratulate the police officers and personnel on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, where he was received by Major General Mohamed El-Gamsi. He praised the great role of the police forces in maintaining security and imposing discipline, stressing that the police force represents a fundamental pillar in achieving stability, especially during periods of holidays and celebrations.

In a humanitarian gesture, the governor visited the “Hayat” guest house for the care of elderly women, where he congratulated the residents and was keen to bring joy to their hearts by distributing Eid cakes and Eid gifts, stressing the importance of the societal role of nursing homes in providing a decent life for the elderly.

He also continued his tours by visiting the Ramses Society for Orphan Care, where the children shared the joy of Eid and presented them with Eid gifts in an atmosphere full of joy and happiness, directing them to provide all aspects of support and care to the society’s children, ensuring their upbringing in a safe and integrated environment.

During his tours, the Governor of Port Said affirmed the governorate’s continued support for social care institutions, and work to strengthen the umbrella of social protection, in a way that consolidates the values ​​of interdependence and solidarity among the members of society.
