Despite being 79 years old, US President Donald Trump boasts that he has great energy and great stamina, unlike his predecessor, Joe Biden, who nicknamed him “Sleepy Joe.” Although Trump makes much more public appearances than Biden, during the recent period, several instances have been recorded in which he appeared to be dozing or falling asleep in front of the cameras, as happened on Tuesday evening during a lengthy government meeting in the White House.
Trump’s photo raises controversy
The meeting lasted for about two hours, during which the ministers – as usual – lavished praise on the president, and towards the end, when it was Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s turn to deliver his speech, Trump seemed to begin to lose interest, and while Rubio was praising Trump’s foreign policy, saying, among other things, that no other leader could have ended the war in Gaza, Trump seemed sunk in his seat, with his eyes closed. At one point he sat down and looked in Rubio’s direction, but he quickly went back and closed his eyes, and when the secretary made a joke Over the college football playoff season, and the audience laughing, Trump barely reacted.
According to CNN, Trump was seen closing his eyes other times during the meeting, even during the speeches of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutmank and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Dremer. However, the network noted that at times he was looking at a piece of paper placed in front of him in a way that apparently suggested that he had his eyes closed.
After the meeting, Trump continued his schedule by attending another public event at the White House during which he announced a huge donation that will open the door to the creation of 25 million savings accounts for American children, which will bear the name Trump Accounts.
