The committee supervising the elections for the House of Representatives in the first district, based at the Damanhour Police Department in Beheira Governorate, announced the numerical tally that resulted from the electoral process.

The number of attendees reached 97,752 voters, with 3,078 invalid votes, while valid votes reached 94,674 votes.
Candidates for the district that includes the center and Bandar Damanhour are competing for three “individual” seats, and the top three candidates according to the number of votes were Sanaa Barghash, the current member of the House of Representatives, from the Mostaqbal Watan Party, with 53,379 votes, to retain her seat for the third session in a row, followed by Mahmoud El Gendy, “independent” with 50,366 votes, followed by Taha Al-Shahawy, “independent” with 48,905 votes.
Meanwhile, the following did not succeed: Reda Al-Sharif, “Al-Nour Party”, who obtained 45,991 votes, Mohamed Bahnasi, “Egyptian Democratic Party”, who obtained 43,75 votes, and Alaa Zaatir, “Independent”, who obtained 42,306 votes.
The runoff round was held on December 27 and 28 in Beheira Governorate, in three electoral districts that included: the first district: Damanhour District, Damanhour Center, the third district: Abu Homs Center, Idku Center, the eighth district: Shabrakhit Center, and Itay Al-Baroud Center.
The number of electoral headquarters reached 264 electoral centers with a total of 297 electoral committees, receiving voters in three electoral districts in Beheira Governorate, where the total number of voters in these districts reached 1,726,888 voters, with 14 candidates competing for 7 seats.
