US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States will review its relationship with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) when the war against Iran ends, in light of the US administration’s disappointment with the failure of NATO member states to help open the Strait of Hormuz.
The American minister added that there is a possibility of holding a direct meeting with Iran at some point, indicating that Tehran will not be able to exploit the Trump administration, and that the president will not be deceived by attempts to play with the negotiations.
Rubio explained that the United States will remain ready for dialogue, but will not be complacent, stressing that uranium enriched by 60% has no civilian or medical uses, and that its only purpose is the bomb.
He pointed out that Iran has rejected offers from friendly countries to hand over its stock of highly enriched uranium, stressing that Iran is currently experiencing its weakest military and political situation in 25 years.
The American minister stressed that Washington is very close to achieving the goals of its military mission in Iran.
Rubio revealed that Iran was working to assemble components to produce nuclear warheads, revealing that Tehran demonstrated ballistic missiles last week whose existence it had previously denied.
