Yesss Torop, head coach of the team, confirmed Al-Ahly, Facing Tunisian club Esperance outside of home will not be easy, in light of the strong crowd atmosphere witnessed by the Tunisian team’s matches at its home stadium.
Al-Ahly coach Torop: Our goal is to achieve a positive result against Esperance before the Cairo match
Torop said in television statements before the start of the confrontation that the match will be difficult, especially since it is being held outside Al-Ahly Stadium, explaining that the technical staff and players are aware of the amount of public pressure and the enthusiastic atmosphere inside the stadium, but the team is confident in its abilities.
Al-Ahly’s technical director added that the goal is to get a good result from the first leg, in order to facilitate the task before the return match, which will be held in Cairo next week.
Al-Ahly formation to face Esperance of Tunisia
Yes Torop, the technical director of the first football team at Al-Ahly club, announced a short while ago the formation of the starting team to play the Esperance match at the Hamadi Al-Aqrabi Olympic Stadium in Brades, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.
The Al-Ahly formation included:
- Goalkeeper: Mustafa Schubert.
- Defense line: Mohamed Hani, Yasser Ibrahim, Hadi Riyad, and Youssef Belamri.
- Midfield: Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Ahmed Sayed Zizou, Imam Ashour, and Mahmoud Trezeguet.
- Offensive line: Ashraf bin Sharqi.
