Announce Palestinian Union Football Association expressed the inability of the first national team to participate in the friendly gathering hosted by Morocco during the month of March. This apology comes as a result of the logistical difficulties faced by the team’s delegation in light of the unstable security conditions in the region.
According to the official statement issued by the Palestinian Federation, the team was scheduled to play two friendly matches against the Mauritania and Benin national teams during the current international break.
The Union explained that the challenges associated with the closure of airports and the disruption of travel prevented the completion of the necessary arrangements for the mission’s arrival in Moroccan territory on the specified date.
Reasons for canceling the Palestine camp in Morocco
The Palestinian Federation stressed that the highest priority at the present time is to preserve the safety of all members of the national team system, including players and technical and administrative staff, noting that the disruption of air navigation and the restrictions imposed on movement made it impossible to guarantee the team’s arrival and participation in the friendly gathering in the technically required manner.
Plan to prepare the Palestinian national team
Despite the cancellation of the March camp, the Federation renewed its commitment to continue working to provide the best possible conditions to prepare the national team for the upcoming official matches, and officials are seeking to search for training alternatives that guarantee the continuity of the players’ preparations, in a way that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian fans in the upcoming international competitions, once the logistical conditions stabilize.
