I witnessed New Valley Governorate Several events took place over the past 24 hours, the most important of which were:

Muhammad Omar Ali, lawyer of cassation, holds the position of head of the New Valley Bar Association

The Bar Association by-elections in the New Valley Governorate resulted in Muhammad Omar Ali, a cassation lawyer, winning the position of President of the New Valley Bar Association.
The governorate’s sub-union elections, which were held in two committees in Kharga and Dakhla, resulted in the victory of the lawyers’ sub-union council members, namely: Mohamed Mahmoud Nour El-Din, Mohamed Gamal, Hani Mahran, Islam Senussi, Tariq Hajjaj, Mustafa Zayed, and Mohamed Rashad, while Mohamed Ahmed Othman won the youth seat by acclamation.
The Bar Association sub-election committees in Kharga and Dakhla witnessed a turnout from members of the General Assembly, and the elections were held under judicial supervision by the New Valley Administrative Prosecution, under the supervision of Counselor Hussein Selim, Director of the New Valley Administrative Prosecution.
It is worth noting that the New Valley Lawyers’ Union sub-elections were held within the first phase of the unions’ by-elections, which include the unions of: Luxor, Qena, Sohag, North Assiut, South Assiut, Minya, Beni Suef, Fayoum, New Valley, Red Sea, North Sinai, South Sinai, Ismailia, Port Said, Damietta, Menoufia, Kafr El-Sheikh, North Qalyubia, and South Qalyubia, provided that the second phase elections will be completed according to the timetable announced by the Bar Association.

New Valley Health Department achieved a response to 99.12% of citizens’ complaints during 2025

The New Valley Health Affairs Directorate announced a remarkable achievement in the field of communication with citizens, as the unified government complaints system was able to deal with 127 complaints and reports during the year 2025, with a response rate of 99.12%, which reflects the speed of interaction and the effectiveness of follow-up mechanisms and taking the necessary measures.

Follow up on the complaints system headed by the Council of Ministers

This came under the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and the patronage of Major General Dr. Muhammad Salman Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, and the follow-up of Dr. Sherif Sobhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the New Valley, and Dr. Tariq Al-Rifai, Assistant Secretary-General of the Government Complaints Secretariat at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and the supervision of Hassan Madian, Director General of Citizen Service at the Ministry of Health, and the follow-up of Engineer Karam Khalifa Qabel, Director of the Complaints System Follow-up Department at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Developing a unified government complaints system

Dr. Sherif Sobhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the governorate, said that this is the result of developing the unified government complaints system in implementation of Presidential Decisions No. (314) of 2017, Prime Minister No. (1855) of 2017, and Cabinet Resolution No. (2564) of 2024, in a way that enhances the efficiency of health services and ensures citizen satisfaction.

The Directorate confirmed its continued efforts to improve methods of receiving and examining complaints as a fundamental pillar for raising the level of health services. It also called on citizens to submit their complaints and service requests around the clock via the call center 16528, the website published on social media pages, or the “At Your Service” mobile application available on the Google Play Store, in addition to the quick response (QR) code and the attached awareness poster.

Poetry evenings and various events at cultural sites in the New Valley
The sites of the New Valley Culture Branch carry out various activities, including literary evenings, artistic workshops, and educational meetings, as part of the agenda of activities of the General Authority for Culture Palaces, headed by Major General Khaled Al-Labban, and within the framework of the Ministry of Culture’s programs aimed at developing community awareness.

Ibtisam Abdel Mareed, Director of the New Valley Culture Branch, explained in a statement today, Saturday, that the Palace Culture House held a cultural lecture entitled “The Importance of National Projects,” during which agricultural engineer Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed spoke about the role of national projects in increasing national income and enhancing economic activities, in addition to their contribution to combating unemployment by providing new job opportunities for young people.

The House also organized a poetry evening for the Palace Literature Club, headed by the writer Mustafa Dabaa, during which the writer Mustafa Dabaa participated with an excerpt from his novel “Love in Nice”, and the poet Muhammad Ali presented a poem entitled “The Days”, while the writer Sherine Wasfi discussed a critical study on the poets of the oases, and the poet Howaida Mustafa recited a poem entitled “Memory”.

The Kharga Culture Palace witnessed a lecture entitled “Educational Pauses with the Month of Rajab,” during which Sheikh Ibrahim Muhammad explained the status of the month of Rajab as one of the sacred months, stressing the desirability of fasting and obedience a lot, staying away from sin, and asking for forgiveness a lot.
