Axios reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu US President Donald Trump warned against the ceasefire agreement with Iran.

An Israeli official told Axios that Netanyahu expressed his concern about the potential ceasefire agreement in a phone call with Trump.

According to Axios, the chances of reaching a ceasefire agreement before the deadline set by Trump at 8 pm EST on Tuesday appear slim at the present time.

Launching large-scale strikes on Iranian infrastructure

Trump says that if an agreement is not reached by that date, he will order widespread strikes on Iranian civilian infrastructure, while Iran confirms that it will respond by targeting energy and water facilities in the Gulf states.

Trump told reporters that Iran’s response was important but insufficient, and that it was very unlikely that he would extend the deadline to respond again, saying: I gave them an opportunity, but they did not take advantage of it.

The United States, Iran and a group of regional mediators are discussing the terms of a two-stage agreement: a 45-day ceasefire that will then be used for negotiations; Then a full agreement to end the war, according to Axios.

One source said that the 45-day period could be extended if more time is needed for talks, according to Axios.
