The village of Tabloha, affiliated with the center of Tala Governorate, witnessed Menoufia A state of joy and celebration inside the home of Sheikh Abdel Rahman Mahdi, after he was honored for the second time by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, after he obtained first place in the world in memorizing the Holy Qur’an. The villagers and relatives flocked to congratulate him on this great achievement, expressing their pride in the son of their village who raised its name high in international forums.
In exclusive statements to Cairo 24, Sheikh Abdel Rahman Mahdi expressed his great happiness with President Sisi honoring him, stressing that the moment of his meeting with the president was one of the happiest moments in his life. He added that the president praised him and asked him to recite verses from the Holy Qur’an during the meeting, which he considered a badge of pride that he would cherish throughout his life.

Abdul Rahman explained that he dedicates this success to his parents, who were his greatest supporters since childhood, as well as to his sheikh and his memorizer, who played a major role in teaching him and mastering his memorization of the Book of God. He pointed out that despite his loss of the blessing of sight, God compensated him with the blessing of insight, which helped him memorize the entire Holy Qur’an at an early age and excel in many competitions.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Mahdi revealed his ambitions during the coming period, stressing that he hopes to perform the Hajj soon. He also aspires to get married and start a family, and to continue memorizing the Holy Qur’an and teaching it to future generations, stressing that the president’s honoring of him represents a great motivation to continue his path of memorizing the Book of God and spreading its teachings.
